SYC Clubhouse
Our Club House is a modern structure that incorporates a large function room with licenced bar and galley facilities, as shown on the photos below.

To support the sailing activities there are extensive changing facilities with lockers and showers.

The Club has a large compound for storage of boats with easy access to the beach and mooring facilities.

The Club has a pillar crane that has a capacity of 2 Tonne which can be used for launching small cruisers and larger dinghies such as Flying Fifteens.

The Club facilities are available for the use of the members all the days of the week and there are no restrictions on when you wish to sail.

For details of our Moorings Facilities please refer to our Moorings Page.

Our function room is available for hire by members or the public for special events. Click here for details of Room Hire.

Boat Share Opportunity (16/04/2018)

Folkboat to share

I now live in France and I am looking for someone who might like to share the upkeep and sailing of this lovely wooden Folkboat. The boat is stored in the Yacht Club compound each winter and then on a trot mooring each sailing season. I will continue to insure the boat and travel across to sail and maintain it when possible. I am looking for a person who, in return for sailing the boat, pay £150 a year, towards the costs of lifting in and out, winter storage and mooring fees. A commitment to assist with the lifting in and out and perhaps some maintenance would be desired. If you would like to know more about the boat and its history you can speak to Peter Mitchell at the Yacht Club. If you are interested in sharing the boat and wish to discuss the finance and other arrangements please give me a call on 07789526577 or send me an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I can call you in the U.K. from my home at no cost to you on a landline or mobile.
